Musical Director: Helen Kinder

Helen studied euphonium at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama under David Childs and whilst a student there she played for many bands in the South Wales area. She held the Principal Euphonium seat with Parc & Dare Band for 3 years and was with them when they qualified for the National Finals at the Royal Albert Hall in 2006. She also received conducting lessons from Bob Childs and Adrian Partington and gained experience leading Junior Bands in the area.

Whilst at college, Helen was a founding member of the Euphonium quartet ‘Euphor’ who released an album of the same name in 2007. With Euphor she performed at the International Tuba and Euphonium Conference, Ohio, USA in 2008 as well as touring to Luxembourg and around the UK. After graduating Helen took up the position of Music Intern at the British International School in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and on her return she has been teaching music at Lytchett Minster Secondary School in Dorset. She also works as a vocal coach for the successful Shaftesbury branch of the theatre school 'Stagecoach'.
